The Camana Bay Town Centre will be lit up in orange each evening during March in recognition of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month.
The MS Foundation of the Cayman Islands was founded by Alyssa Christian in 2016, the year after she was diagnosed with the disease. “I realised how many others suffered with this incurable disease on our tiny island and knew that there needed to be both financial and emotional support for MS patients and their families,” says Alyssa. “The money that is raised is used towards bringing awareness to MS and for patient care.”
On March 10, the MS Foundation will hold its second “Pretty on the Outside” fundraising event at Pedro St. James. The evening features cocktails, canapés and a fashion show featuring handbags and clutches created by international design company Louise & Eleanor. Tickets, which are CI$75, can be purchased at Books & Books or online through caymangiftcertificates.com.
