One creative way to beat the heat of summer is with a beverage or two while watching the kids frolic in Camana Bay’s fountain as they play with the Imagination Playground.
The foam blocks that make up the Imagination Playground were designed by award-winning architect, David Rockwell of “Rockwell Group” in the United States. The idea came from watching his own children play.
“The Imagination Playground is to support fun, family play at Camana Bay during the hot summer months,” says Dart Real Estate Events Manager Meegan Ebanks. “Having the Imagination Playground blocks in our water fountains provides an opportunity for children to play together in an interactive environment that encourages learning, social development, movement and above all, fun.”
The blocks are non-toxic and microbe- and mold-resistant. The playground includes cubes, bricks, cogs, curves and cylinders; they have holes to join all pieces together and allow creativity to build things.
Normally held once a week, the Imagination Playground will be held every day through Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
