Darts players will take aim at “bullseyes” in September at The King’s Head pub in a new corporate league.
It’s all just about bringing people together and providing a nice atmosphere on a Tuesday night Will Collins
The four-week league takes place on Tuesday nights. The King’s Head hopes to get about eight teams in the league, says Will Collins, a bartender at the pub. “If we have eight teams we will have four teams play a week.”
The games start at 7 p.m. and all participants should arrive by 6:45 p.m. The games can run as long as three hours, says Collins.
A team can have any amount of players, but on the night of a game there must be a range of four to six people ready to play.
There is an entry fee of CI$100 per team to join the league. The money goes towards various prizes. The only special rules for the darts league is to have fun and not to take it too seriously, Collins says.
“It’s all just about bringing people together and providing a nice atmosphere on a Tuesday night,” he says.
To help provide the nice atmosphere, King’s Head will have $5 pitcher and $5 pint specials on CayBrew products. But darts players looking for things to do have options other than playing in the corporate league.
“Tuesday nights aren’t the only nights you can play a game of darts,” Collins says. “Anyone is welcomed to play any night of the week.”
