Seeking certainty in uncertain times will be the theme of the annual International Trusts & Private Client Conference presented by law firm Mourant Ozannes at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa on Oct. 6.
The full-day conference, which will be chaired by Mourant Ozannes Global Head of International Trusts & Private Client, Jim Edmondson, features a line-up of speakers that will include lawyers from Mourant Ozannes’ trusts and private client team and other well-known experts.
“This one-day Cayman conference has become a key event in the wealth management world as it brings together leading specialists to debate key issues affecting the industry,” said Edmondson. “Facing increased regulation, the erosion of confidentiality and negative media coverage, the financial services sector in the offshore market is going through a period of unprecedented and persistent uncertainty.”
Edmondson said the programme for the 2017 conference, which his now in its seventh year, was designed to explore the concerns of the trust and private client industry, setting out the likely future landscape and addressing specific issues relevant to trustees and advisers.
“The conference promises to give attendees some real food for thought as well as practical direction to take back to their own organisations,” said Edmondson.
