Most women have mornings where they are limited for time, yet still need to look presentable. Believe me, I have been there. With a busy schedule and no time to even eat breakfast some mornings, how can we spare the time to do a full face of make-up?
Over the years I have had lots of practice at mastering the five-minute face and would love to share my routine with you. You can still look fabulous — I promise!
After prepping my skin with a hydrating moisturiser, I move on to my primer which helps to hydrate, tighten pores and keep my make-up in place all day long.
I then apply a lightweight foundation for an even skin tone and add a concealer for any blemishes or under-eye dark circles. My translucent setting powder comes next to ensure this will stay in flawless all day.
I love to have that “healthy glow” on my skin and so a blush is a must for me. I apply a soft hue of colour onto the apples of my cheeks to give me that “glow.” Sometimes I use a bronzer which gives me more of a “sun-kissed” look, which I also love.
Now for the eyes…. I always curl my lashes before applying mascara, then I apply one coat from the base of the lashes to the tips, which instantly opens up the eyes.
Eyebrows are next. They frame the face and are so important to any make-up look. I fill mine in with a soft pencil to define the shape.
For the perfect pout, I add a pop of colour on the lips using a lightweight hydrating lip tint or lipstick.
To finish my look, I spritz on a make-up setting spray preferably with an SPF to keep my five-minute face on all day long.
