This year’s Halloween Spooktacular at Camana Bay will celebrate two important milestones: the 10-year anniversary of the opening of the Town Centre and the 20th anniversary of the release of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” the book that launched a literary and film franchise.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, Harry Potter fans of all ages are invited to Camana Bay for its annual Halloween event full of tricks, treats and familiar scenes from Harry Potter’s world. Children can bring out their cauldrons for trick or treating at all the participating Camana Bay merchants’ shops and restaurants from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are a number of family friendly events you won’t want to miss.
Muggles can test their skills by playing games in the Camana Bay courtyards, which will be transformed into the four houses of Hogwarts. They can also play a round of Quidditch on the Crescent lawn, take a walk through a forbidden graveyard forest or get crafty in the Great Hall at the entrance to the Crescent. Then as dusk draws near, guests can grab their favourite Muggle for an interactive “Just Dance” competition on the big screen from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Finally, Muggles can gather under the stars to watch the film “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” on the Camana Bay Crescent beginning at 7:30 p.m.
