The Edgy Vedge co-owner takes Cayman flavours global

The Edgy Vedge co-owner and bartender, Christina Ravdas, recently returned from her trip to Sydney, Australia, where she represented the Cayman Islands in the Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year Global Finals 2022.

After opening the plant-based eatery in Camana Bay just weeks earlier, Ravdas flew to Sydney in the hopes of bringing her sustainable and locally inspired cocktails to the world's stage. Fifty bartenders from all over the world competed head to head in this prestigious competition.

Challenged to create community-driven projects involving their cocktails, bartenders were encouraged to draw inspiration from local flavours of their home countries. After two days of intense competition, Norway’s competitor, Adrián Michalčik, was crowned this year's winner. Ravdas' efforts at the competition can be shared by all as her cocktail entry is now available at The Edgy Vedge.
