Design your Valentine's Day at Camana Bay

Couple shopping for ring

Tuesday can be the most lacklustre day of the week – it doesn't have much personality compared to the likes of Friday or Monday.

Tuesday does, however, have the honour of hosting Valentine's Day this year.

There are ample opportunities to add some lustre to your Valentine's Tuesday at Camana Bay. Whether it's with someone special or your closest friends, or to show yourself some appreciation, there are a variety of love-filled activities to engage in from morning to night.

Here's a step-by-step guide on a full day of Saint Valentine-approved activities without leaving Camana Bay.

Breakfast for two
Kick off your morning by fuelling up for the day. Skip breakfast in bed and make your way to one of Camana Bay's eateries to enjoy the day's most important meal with your most important person.

Whether your preference is coffee and a pastry, a freshly made juice or smoothie, or the full Monty of breakfasts, there are several coffee shops, juice bars and restaurants to choose from that open as early as 6:30 a.m. for those early lovebirds.

Shopping spree
Valentine's Day is arguably one of the top three grand gift-giving days of the year, next to birthdays and Christmas.

This year, take off some of the pressure by perusing the retail shops of Camana Bay with the recipient of your affection, allowing them to choose their gift – or to pick out a gift for yourself. The Town Centre has a store for every passion and novelty, from tech and homeware to fashion, beauty and art.

If you would rather prepare ahead of time, retailers such as NKY have a Valentine's Day gift guide available to help you find the perfect gift.

Lunchtime

The Town Centre is buzzing during lunchtime as most restaurants have opened their doors and cranked their stoves.

Valentine's Day lunch is one the most simple, tangible forms of showing someone you love them. You're spending time together, and "cooked food" is a love language of its own in the Caribbean.

Take their taste buds on an international trip or unlock fond memories with Cayman-inspired dishes prepared fresh by the restaurants of Camana Bay.

Catch a movie
After a hearty meal at lunch, you may want to relax and give all the talking a break. Achieve both and keep the Valentine's date going with a movie at Camana Bay Cinema.

The cinema has some of the most comfortable seats to be found in the town, coupled with dim lighting and an entertaining feature.

It's the perfect activity to unwind as you head into the afternoon – of course, only after making the tough call to watch either a romantic comedy or action-packed film.

Spa experiences
Keep the relaxation going post credits and take advantage of being steps away from Align and Eclipze Hair Design & Day Spa.

These retailers offer various spa services, including massages, more specific body therapies and beauty treatments such as manicures and pedicures.

Do any of these activities together or gift them, but you'll want to book them in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.

Dinner with a view
Cayman's evening and night skies are some of the most romantic scenes to behold and can be enjoyed from various angles in Camana Bay – whether it's facing the twilight, under the stars or adjacent to the moonlit harbour.

Many of Camana Bay's restaurants and bars offer comfortable outdoor dining, allowing you to experience the beauty of being outside with full access to their dine-in menus.

For a quieter, more intimate setting, indoor dining is also available.

Scenic strolls
End the night with a scenic stroll through the town, taking a romantic route by the water, the landscape, the architecture or all three.

For water views, head to the Crescent, the Island and Camana Bay Harbour.

For landscape views, head to the Rise or any of the five courtyards around the Town Centre.

For architectural views, head down the Paseo, along Market Street or up the Observation Tower.

Nightcap
If you're not quite ready for the night to end, there are a few places around the Town Centre to enjoy something sweet – or dry.

Dessert shops are open as late as 11 p.m., and some of the bars are open until midnight.

How's that for an eventful Tuesday?
