Two new 10-storey Camana Bay buildings recently received multiple honours for the Caribbean region at the 2022 International Property Awards.

Kapok, which opened its doors to residential tenants on 21 Jan., won a pair of awards while 60 Nexus Way earned one. The awards celebrate achievements by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. They are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, U.K. and U.S.

“We’re delighted to have won these awards. This goes to show what happens when clear planning is twinned with the creativity of designers to create modern spaces that are not only welcoming aesthetically, but also have sustainability at the core," said Dart President of Real Estate Asset Management Justin Howe.

Kapok is Camana Bay’s most recent residential development and the first 10-storey residential building in the Cayman Islands. It is the first development locally to be granted Fitwel certification, a green building rating system that prioritises occupant health and wellness. Its first residents are set to take up occupancy early in 2023.

Camana Bay Town Centre’s latest commercial building, 60 Nexus Way, is set to be officially opened this month.

“The delivery of these projects through the COVID-19 lockdown period was a huge effort and our team innovated to ensure that both projects were delivered on budget. It was a tremendously successful team collaboration,” said Dart Senior Vice President of Design and Construction Gary Gibbs.
