March Events At Camana Bay

01 March 2018

March is all about giving back to the community at Camana Bay.

March is MS Awareness Month – to help bring attention to this important cause, all month long watch the Town Centre light up orange at night to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.

On Mar. 3, attend the Cayman Islands SeaPerch Challenge to observe students from schools across the island compete in an underwater robotics competition with winners representing the Cayman Islands overseas at the SeaPerch National Competition in June.

On Mar. 8 you can cheer on the men in our community as they support the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre. They will be strutting their stuff in heels on Market Street to help raise funds for Walk in Her Shoes. The Crisis Centre supports victims of domestic violence.

What better way to show support towards a cause then by also celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, with the 26th annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K Irish Jog taking place on Mar. 16. Participants will compete along a 3.1-mile course around Britannia Golf Course. You can walk, jog, and even bring strollers. Have a great time while also supporting Cayman’s Acts of Random Kindness. The St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will continue that evening and on Saturday, Mar. 17 at The King’s Head, with the Six Nations Rugby finals, authentic Irish food, a live DJ and fun giveaways.

At the end of the month, you can also celebrate Easter, by painting the Town in pastel colours with Chalkfest. This is a family-friendly event open to all ages and all artistic abilities. There will be music, live story readings, face painting and a spring-themed artisans market. Proceeds from this event will benefit the National Gallery Outreach Program.

This March, have fun at Camana Bay while giving back to a range of important community causes! And remember to download the Camana Bay Events App for real-time updates on what’s happening at Camana Bay, available for download on the App Store or Google Play.
