Slow Food Day’s Farm-to-Table Tasting Market saw about 600 people come out to sample locally produced dishes from 16 of Cayman’s best restaurants and eateries, as well as to buy produce and goods from six farmers and artisans. Guests took in chef demonstrations by Chef Tanya Foster of Bay Market and Chef Sandy Tuason of The Beach House at The Westin Grand Cayman.
Guests were given passports by Cayman Food Revolution volunteers, and each restaurant they visited resulted in one stamp. Once a passport was full, it could be entered into a draw for a $100 Camana Bay Gift Card, and another passport could be secured for a donation to Food Revolution for those who were still hungry!
All in all, the event was a huge success and many thanks to all who turned out and to BOB FM, who broadcast from the event and kept the crowds entertained with their retro hits.
