Living in the Cayman Islands means experiencing turquoise waters, white sand and golden sunshine year-round. We are often referred to as one of the Caribbean’s best island destinations and we are widely known for our acclaimed Seven Mile Beach – a long strip of beautiful beaches, hotels and restaurants in Grand Cayman. As the island gets ready for the holiday season, Seven Mile Beach is buzzing with fun things to do all October long.
For the foodies:
October is Restaurant Month on Grand Cayman and each year participating restaurants set fixed-price menus for lunch or dinner, inviting foodies to try them out and tantalise their tastebuds. Take a sunset walk along Seven Mile Beach and stop by Ave at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa for a post-stroll dinner, offering a three-course menu for just CI$45. Or, if your stroll took you southward, cross over the Rise to visit Agua Restaurant & Lounge – the newest hotspot on the dining scene at Camana Bay for a three-course prix-fixe dinner menu for just CI$35. For the cocktail connoisseurs:
Now in its 6th year, Cayman Cocktail Week will be taking place from Oct. 19-26. In this unique celebration of all things mixology, a variety of events are offered that educate and entertain cocktail lovers. After a day on the beach, head to Camana Bay where participating bars and restaurants will be offering themed-cocktail specials. On Oct. 19, visit the Tanqueray Green Room at KARoo where you can listen to soul music whilst indulging in their signature cocktails or you can bring back the 1980s and come out to The King’s Head on Oct. 22 for 80s-style cocktails and ‘boogy down’ from 9-11 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
