Here’s How You Can Get All the #FestiveFeels at Camana Bay This Holiday Season

14 November 2018

There’s no better place than Camana Bay to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with family, friends and loved ones.  With so much happening throughout the holiday season in the Town Centre, there will be plenty of Christmas joy to share.

We made a list – and checked it twice! – of all our fun Christmas events, including some popular Camana Bay traditions such as the Annual Tree Lighting, which always attracts both locals and visitors as the crowds gather to watch Santa turn on the Town Centre lights in time for the holiday season.

Annual Tree Lighting: Join Camana Bay on Saturday, Nov. 17 to kick off the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting. There will be a holiday-themed market, live performances, food and a special appearance by Santa. This is a community favourite, attended by thousands of people each year.

Santa Photos: Speaking of Santa, from the end of November and throughout December, there will be an opportunity to take photos with both Traditional Santa and Caribbean Santa. These photo sessions are brought to you by Picture This Studios and photo sessions must be purchased when meeting Santa. Sessions cost CI$35 per family and include a set of digital photos. You can purchase prints for an additional fee.

Parade of Lights: Each year, Cayman 27 hosts this annual event, where boats display brightly coloured lights throughout the Camana Bay Harbour to a Christmas soundtrack. Be sure to come out on Saturday, Dec. 1 to experience local food, crafts and live music and take in the beauty of the decorated boats.

Christmas-Themed Family Flicks: Everyone loves a good holiday film, and what better way to watch a festive flick than under the stars with family and loved ones? Come out to Camana Bay every Tuesday at 7 p.m., starting from Nov. 27, for a holiday-themed film displayed on our giant blow-up screen.

Santa Run: A popular family-friendly activity to do over the holidays; don your favourite Santa attire and come out for a jog around Camana Bay on Sunday, Dec. 16. The cost is CI$30 for adults, CI$15 for kids and children under 5 are free. All proceeds raised will benefit the Cayman Food Bank through the Camana Bay Christmas Give.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks: Come out to the Town Centre and enjoy a magical fireworks display at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for ways to give back over the holidays at Camana Bay such as participating in the Santa Run and purchasing festive Christmas cards. All proceeds raised will benefit the Cayman Food Bank thanks to the Camana Bay Christmas Give.
