The National Gallery in conjunction with the Cayman National Cultural Foundation Cayfest, will be holding its 7th annual Chalkfest at Camana Bay’s Market Street from 3-6pm.According to the Gallery, Chalkfest is based on the ancient art of street painting that is an immediate visual process bringing instant response from viewers. The National Gallery invites all professional and budding community artists of all ages to compete in the Chalkfest competition using the street as a canvas. Registration begins at 2pm on event day. Free water and sunscreen will be provided.
Prizes will be awarded in one of these categories: Primary (5-10 years old), Middle School (11-13 years old), High School (14-17 years old) and Adults (18+).
